HOME SCHOOL AGREEMENT
This is a statement explaining
our aims and values and our responsibilities towards the children in
our care. It also explains the children's and parents' responsibilities. All parents, teachers and children sign an agreement which is reviewed with the
children annually.
The School will try to:
- ensure that the children are taught the curriculum to which they are entitled;
- contact parents if there are concerns about health
or there is a problem with attendance, punctuality or equipment;
- liaise with parents about concerns regarding their child's performance
or behaviour;
- arrange termly consultations
with parents to monitor their child's progress and achievements;
- encourage children to take care
of their surroundings and to be aware of the needs of other people;
- encourage children to do their best at all times;
- care
for children's safety, welfare and happiness to the best of
our ability.
Parents
will try to:
- see that their child attends school regularly
on time and properly equipped;
- ensure that their child comes
to school clean, healthy and ready to learn;
- inform the school in writing in the event
of their child's absence;
- support the school's guidelines for behaviour;
- let the school have any information which may affect their child's learning
or behaviour;
- support
opportunities for home learning, such as homework activities and daily shared reading;
- attend consultation evenings with teachers to discuss their child's progress;
- ensure their child wears appropriate school uniform and footwear, has a change
of clothes for PE activities and trainers for outdoor PE.
The Pupil will try to:
- care for his/her surroundings and
other people;
- be friendly, polite and helpful at
all times;
- do all his/her classwork and homework
as well as possible;
- obey the school rules;
- wear appropriate school uniform and
have his/her PE kit when needed.
Together we will:
- support children's learning to help
them achieve their best;
- encourage children to keep the school
rules;
- help each other to face and overcome
any difficulties as they arise;
- encourage the children to be proud of
the school;
- recognise and implement the ideals
contained in the school's Mission Statement.
